Flower Canvas

I spoke previously about a floral canvas I have been asked to make.
This canvas is for my boyfriends grandma, who asked for something to go in her kitchen. The  requirements were that it had a cranberry theme, to match her oven and to use other colours to match her tiles, which had yellow in them.
I was given two canvas' to work on which were both rectangle on shape.

As you can see from the photo above, I have mixed lots of different media into the canvas.
The fist being paint. I have used acrylic to do the painting of the flowers and leaves.
The second media I used is pen. I have used pen to go around the outline of the flowers and leaves to make them neater.
I have also embellished the painting. To do this I have used sequins and beads.
As a final act of adding detail, I have embroidered more flowers and leaves onto the canvas. I did this using the same colours of embroidery thread as I did in paint.

This image shows the detail in the main flower.

The image above, shows the detail in the middle of the flower.

This is a close-up view of the embroidery on the canvas.
