On - Going Projects.

So my black embroidery thread came yesterday! :-) So i've been able to get on with finishing my applique flower and bird canvas. I've also added buttons to some of the flowers and butterfly charms.

I'll hopefully have this up on my eBay age soon :-)

Ive also started to jazz up my sister - in - law, Lucie's, cushion covers too so i'll have some pics of them up soon.

Below are some invitations I made a while ago, but forgot to put them up! haha! I made 10 of them using different coloured card, patterned card and colourful embellishments including sequins and ribbon. I have put the invite part on the back of them, which whoever buys them, can fill in.

This pack of 10 invitations have a feminine feel to them and are very unique and different to the usual invites in the shops. These will also be on my eBay page soon...

On - Going Projects.

Hey guys! :-) thought id give you a quick update on what im getting up to as I have a few on-going projects at the moment. The first being a larger applique canvas, similar to the techniques in my previous post.

I decided I wanted to do a floral applique canvas with birds, so I drew out my design onto the canvas then began cutting out the felt and floral fabric into the shapes I had drawn. I then started using embroidery to go around the flowers and birds when i ran out of black embroidery thread. So whilst i wait for my order to be delivered so i can finish it, heres a few pics of how it looks so far...

As you can see from the pictures, the black embroidery thread really helps the applique flowers and birds stand out. Since taking these pictures I have also added a border of ribbons to help frame the design more. I will show pictures of the finished product soon...

The second project im working on are some more cushion covers for my sister - In - Law, Lucie. Her, my brother and little nephew have visited this weekend so I gave her the jungle cushion covers I have already made, she liked them so much she wants me to jazz up her living room cushion covers. So ill get working on them this week then put some pics up for you all :-)

Im also going to stock up on more materials this week including canvas', fabric and felt, and charms, so im excited to get started on more crafts!

Applique

I recently found a few unused canvas' in room so, after making a few different items lately, i decided to go back to canvas art to use them up. :-)
However, I have made them different to my usual canvas items by incorporating applique.
I did this using coloured felt, bondaweb, thread and angel hair.

I have made two canvas' so far using these materials, one is of a blue and green fish and the other a blue and red butterfly,

As you can see from the images above, the felt I have used blends in well together and the black outline i have sewn on really makes it stand out well. The sequins and angel hair add to the detail. I have also added a blue frame to the canvas to make it look more finished.

The images of the butterfly canvas, above show how, like the fish canvas, the felt has blended in well and all the materials used help to make it stand out.

Cushion Covers

As I had two cushion covers for sale on my eBay shop, I decided to make a few more as I really enjoyed making them!
I tried to make them all different with different fabrics used and different embellishments.
Heres a few pictures of them,

All of these cushion covers are for sale on my eBay page, the link is below my picture.

Hairbands

Following on from the bracelets i've just made I decided to make some hairbands.

I made them by making rope out of knitting wool. I mostly did this using two colours of wool to make the band more exciting to look at. I then added different charms/embellishments to the band.

All of these hairbands can be simply double tied at the ends to fasten around the head and will all be on my eBay page soon. (link below my picture)
In the meantime, if anyone is interested, message me :-)
